It’s All About Detoxification!!

This past week, Lila Elliot, Microscopist   BMC, CMC, from Penticton, was in my clinic doing Live Blood Analysis sessions.  Now, you might ask “Why would anyone want to have this done?”  I thought about this and realized that she is giving everyone a visual of what is running through their blood-stream (pictures) in real-time and that this is a way to jolt people into making bigger, quicker changes in their life-style before their health deteriorates any further.   And, if someone who is seeing her is already in this state, then Lila is able to support them on their journey back to a completely healthy body through nutrition – basically, through eating pH balanced – alkalinizing foods and through detoxification of their bodies.  We, all, need to be doing this on a regular basis whatever our state of health and the best times to do this are spring and fall.

So, today, I’m doing the liver flush cleanse which will be followed by Nancy Desjardins FatBurning Detox Program starting on Sept 26th.  This program actually begins on Sept 19 (through to Oct 3) with an open forum so that participants can be supported through their detoxification process.  I’m looking forward to this – I’ve already been reading through the information that came with the program (I ordered both the mp3s and the hard-copy version so anyone who wants to borrow the hard-copy version is welcome to do so but, if you want to participate in the program, then, you will need to purchase the down-loadable version yourself).  An aside, after reading the article in the link for the liver flush cleanse, I realize that I’m doing this backwards to what is recommended so will let you know how it turns out!

Why am I doing all this?  Well, I’ve been forever talking to people about the importance of balanced pH and my Live Blood Analysis showed me that mine is out of balance.  I learned that I don’t metabolize dairy very well (good-bye cheese and ice cream), sugars (my Mom’s a Type II diabetic) and that I’m slightly anemic (get eating the spinach!) – also, that I’m a little more stressed than I thought!  It’s time for me to walk my talk!

So, I’m preparing myself internally, through the liver flush and the FatBurning Detox program, to move into a plant-based nutritionally healthy life-style.  This will, also, prepare the way for when Lila comes back and runs her cooking classes in October where we will learn how easy it is to prepare meals based on balanced pH (she’ll also be doing more Live Blood Analysis for anyone who wants a session).

But, why wait for then – who wants to join me in this now?  Get the FatBurning Detox Program so that you have a greater understanding of why you are doing this (for yourself, of course) – and change your way of looking at nutrition and become healthier in less time than you thought possible.   Have gluten issues?  This will definitely clear them up!!  If nothing else, google “plant-based nutrition” (recipes) or “ph balance diet”(recipes) or Nancy Dejardins’ recipes to take a closer look at the variety of meals and snacks we can switch to that are delicious, nutritious and that our bodies will love!  Did I mention that it is easier on the planet, too?

Here’s a link to a video from iHealthTube.com called “Detoxifying the Gerson Way” that takes detoxification to another level…enjoy!

Magic, Brain Science & Pain Management.

If you click on the link above, you will find a very interesting, rather long article on how the brain sees acute or chronic pain.  It can help clear up some of the misconceptions you might have around pain, where  the source of the pain actually is and how to change the brain to change the pain.  I, personally, think (because I have been seeing consistently good results) that techniques like Neurostructural Integration Technique, CranioSacral Therapy and the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education (and there are others that work) go along way to alleviating chronic pain and the hold it has on a person.  Add in addressing the emotional (Emotion Code) and psychological components (Body Code) and remembering to go even deeper and check everything at the energetic level of functioning (Chinese Energetics) -  I feel that there is no reason for someone to stay in chronic pain unless they choose to stay there.  That’s my opinion – it might not be yours and that is ok.

Clearing Your Judgements – a biggie!

Here is a section of an article from Christie Marie Sheldon’s blog on her Love or Above web-site that fits in with Emotion Code and Chinese Energetics.  In this article, she shows us how easily we can clear our judgements on anything.  The example she uses here is money, wealth and abundance but you can easily change the wording to cover any issue you are currently working on.  For instance, today I’m feeling under the weather so I asked about health, vitality and strength.  Too my amazement, I had 600 judgements around that (muscle tested for it as I do for most things).  After saying the clearing message, I rechecked and it came down to 303 so I repeated the process again and I now had 47 judgements.  Got a little stuck at this level, so added the words “in all time-lines and dimensions” to the clearing message which took everything down to zero.  It’ll be interesting to see how deleting these judgements changes things for me.  I encourage you to go to her web-site and explore her way of raising vibrations.

Christie Marie Sheldon’s post:

But, if its okay with everyone, I am going to use this as a teachable moment. Higher Consciousness and the energy of 700 and Above is actually an energy that flows all good through all doors and has no judgement on how it all comes in. Every judgment an individual makes limits how much is available to them. Any one judgment can shut thousands of doors to the flow of all good. Pure Consciousness is available to anyone and everyone at anytime and is given freely by the Asker and the Chooser…it’s Universal Law and it’s a choice to take the energy

.So, if you can imagine a Reality, called your Life, you have unlimited potential doors open to you. Let’s say thousands of doors in this example, in which you can let what you think is good come into your life. Now, every judgment you have about how it all comes to you….Such as, it can only come from “Hard Work” is a belief and rule and judgement you placed in your reality that now shut all the doors to things that could come easily. So, because you have the “Hard Work” rule, you now cannot be “Lucky” because “Lucky” would be too easy…you would be cheating or something. I have cleared this belief on thousands of people.

So, just one judgement can close thousands of doors as well. So, please everyone..check out your reality and ask, “How many judgments do I have about how money, abundance, and good can come into my Life?” For some people the number can be hundreds! This is what some of your Blocks are caused by…Judgements. There are other things that block you…but this is a biggie.

I just spoke to someone a few days ago and he only thought money could come through one door. All of his money had to come through this one door, or else it wasn’t worth it. Can you imagine how hard his life looks right now? Plus his energy was focused on the money going out instead of flowing into this one tiny door. So, I had him open thousands of doors for the good to come in…and only focus on it coming in.

So, do this as a Declarative Statement a hundred times and tell me how your life improves.

All Judgments I have about how money, wealth, and abundance comes to me..I delete and uncreate them all now. All judgements I have about how much money, wealth, and abundance, I allow into my life, I uncreate and delete it all now. I fill in with more wealth, abundance, and good than I ever expected and increase this exponentially in all ways.

via Indigos and Crystals.

I’m adding this lovely method to my tool-box of energy clearing and vibrational raising!!  Get to it, everyone,  do your work – let’s get rid of judgements!  If you got this far, you might like to watch this video where she explains all about “Love or Above”.

And now….Chinese Energetics!

It’s been awhile since I last blogged – holidays away from the internet spent playing with grandchildren being the reason primarily.  However, now I’m back and here is what I have learned since Spring Forest Qigong.   Playing (and having play fights with my grandsons) made me appreciate all that I have learned from my training in the Feldenkrais Method.  I loved being able to get up off the floor easily, bend over (when walking Alex – who now is walking on his own), twist and turn when escaping the water blasts and find comfort for my neck and upper back when changing sleeping surfaces.   Any discomforts I accumulated, I could eliminate by spending a few minutes on the floor exploring any  tightness.  Great self-care!

As always, I am on the look-out for anything that might be of service for my clients (and me, of course) and I came across a couple of things this week.  One is a Fall Detox Program by Nancy Desjardin R.N.C.P. (the Health Lady from Ontario) – an inexpensive way to detox and lose weight at the same time!  I ordered the second level of the program – then, sent the information out to my clients – and had one of them quickly suggest that I put together a class or a series of classes in order to inspire completion of the detox.  I intend to do the 3 day one, for sure, and would love to support anyone, who purchases the program, in completing their own detox without stress.  So, yes, I’ll get working on that and let everyone know when this will happen – probably late August or early September.

The other thing I learned yesterday, in fact, was about Chinese Energetics.  This is a method of clearing blocks that is very quick and very easy to learn and do – not only for yourself but for others.  This next bit is taken from http://chineseenergetics.com/“The Yuen Method of Chinese Energetics is a leading-edge consciousness technology to advance humanity in multi-faceted areas of life. Mastery of this energetic process significantly enhances the quality of life in numerous areas:  (1) natural health, healing, and regeneration, (2) physical and non-physical pain elimination, (3) human performance acceleration, (4) personal and professional mastery.

The Yuen Method is a powerful energetic process based on logic and intuition to bring a person to a state of “neutrality” or zero-point, a space where the life forces are optimal and strong.  When our life forces are strong instead of weak, we heal naturally, and we perform and achieve our desires in the most effortless manners.

Yuen Method is a simple and yet advanced practice of energy medicine and energy psychology.  It supports the popular families of holistic health practices such Reiki, EFT, Matrix Energetics, prana healing, hypnotherapy, NLP, acupuncture, meditation, yoga, and other methods.  By applying Yuen principles simultaneous, practitioners of other methods will see same results with themselves or clients in a much shorter time.

Yuen Method originates with the story of Dr. Kam Yuen, a 35th generation Shaolin grandmaster. From his martial art training, he developed his intuition to “feel” for the energetic weaknesses of his opponents’ physical regions.  Then, he would attack the areas of weak energy and successfully defeat them.   He discovered the healing process from his master teacher who had an unconsciousness healing talent.  Because Kam had an engineering background, his reversed engineered this unconsciousness healing process and discovered an energetic process known as the “mid-line” principle.  He noticed that by using intuition to detect an energetic weakness, a state of energy imbalance, he would use the mid-line to correct the weak energy to be strong.   Upon correcting the energy, he discovered that we all have this innate natural state of rapid self-healing and regeneration.  So when our energetics (life forces) are corrected to strong, physical pain and non-physical emotional, mental, and psychological distress can be eliminated almost instantaneously.”

Of course, I purchased Paul P Wong’s Home Study Course and spent yesterday learning the fundamentals so that, today, I could use it with my clients and teach them how to use it for themselves on any issue that might be causing physical pain or emotional pain.  I must admit that this method is much faster than the Emotion Code.  I can’t wait to help everyone, who wants help, become their really completely balanced selves!!!

Until next time….

The Most Ancient Natural Medicine..

I spent a fair amount of time this weekend reviewing Master Nan Lu’s site on Traditional Chinese Medicine.  What brought me there was, of course, a tele-seminar interview….my nemesis.   After listening to him, reading his articles and viewing some of his videos, I have a better understanding of a form of healing that has always interested me.  Why? Maybe because it’s the oldest form of natural healing that’s becoming the newest form in this day and age.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) recognizes that true healing is a multidimensional process where the body, mind, spirit and emotions must all be addressed in the healing journey.  Most people think that TCM is just acupuncture but it also encompasses the use of herbs, diet, Qigong exercises, meditations, acupressure, and, most importantly of all,  the understanding of emotions and their relationship to the internal organ systems and their influence on health.  I got that connection when I found the Emotion Code yet taking a closer look at TCM and how the meridian system is laid out is giving me a better understanding of how clearing trapped emotions can be of such benefit.

I was fascinated to read his explanation of knee problems from a TCM perspective.  Who would have thought that knee problems really mean that you have a kidney function disorder and a Kidney energy deficiency rather than just a sore knee! (the Kidney meridians run through the knees)  Or that TMJ is related to a Stomach function disorder as well as a disorder of the Stomach meridian!  (the Stomach meridians run through the jaw area).   Or that a cough could mean so many different things depending on what other parts of you are affected when you cough!  You really must go to his web-site and check out this information…it’ll give you a new perspective on health and healing!   Make sure you download a copy of the “Four Gates for Ultimate Health” – scroll to the bottom of this page.  Do these every day and you will see positive changes in your health – guaranteed – might take awhile but, then, it took awhile for your symptoms to show so be patient and don’t give up!

I’d, also, like to suggest, if you have breast cancer, had breast cancer or know of anyone who does and who wants to use alternative methods of self-healing, that you go to this site where there are sections for Qigong exercises and acupressure points that can be learned to aid in the return to health.

Now, I’ll go and do some Qigong for my eyes!   You go do the “Four Gates for Ultimate Health”.

Welcome to Your Balanced Self

Thanks for finding this blog – my intention here is to show you the many ways that you can take charge of your own health so that you feel totally empowered, capable and eager to share what you learn here with others close to you.

What comprises Your Balanced Self?

  • your physical self
  • your emotional self
  • your energetic self
  • your spiritual self
Of course, I see these as a complete set – none separate from the other – with each interacting with the others at all times – so that if one of your “selfs” falls out of balance –  all go out of balance!   As a therapist, I began working primarily with a person at the physical level and quickly recognized that I needed to learn more about all the rest if I wanted my clients to have the best out-comes and results when they sought my help.  The more I learned – the more I grew – the more changes I saw in me and how I interacted with others – the better my life has become and the more I want to empower others.  I’m always learning so you will be too.
My mission – purely and simply – is to empower you to bring your whole self back into balance!

Blog Post

A Little Bit of Everything!

This past week, I decided that it was time to do an internal spring-cleaning so am in the middle of doing a 3-day detox that I found on www.foodmatters.tv – a web-site that is full of good information on food.  In fact, I have their DVD!  And, it reminded me that eating 75% or more raw is not that hard to do – especially if you like juicing – and it’s easy, delicious, nutritious and very good for everyone.  Check their web-site out, watch the DVD on-line or rent it from me and try out some of their ideas – you will only get healthier!

In addition to that, I’ve been listening to more teleseminars on the Emotional Freedom Tapping and have found a tapping routine that goes along with my internal spring-cleaning! If you click here, you can tap on healthier food choices for yourself easily and effortlessly as I am.  And, if you don’t know anything about EFT, you might want to check this site out, www.thrivingnow.com/painreliefmini/, and start with a 5 day mini-course which will land in your email over 5 days so you can easily see how so many areas of your life can be improved through this method.

Finally, in the last post I wrote about Spring Forest Qi-gong and Qi-ssage.   The Monday Informational Session this week will be a refresher on both so that everyone who got a piece of either one can finish both.  I do know that a few of the people attending these sessions have ordered his set and more than a few of you have signed up for his free on-line lessons and are getting a taste of Chunyi Lin’s marvelous program for healing!

For your information as well, myself, Joyce Lee, Marilyn Carroll and Gloria Cleve have formed Quantum Popcorn DC and are presenting monthly videos that will expand your thinking and horizons.  So far, we’ve shown “Spirit Space” – a movie on what happens to the soul after death – and  “The Law of Attraction in Action” – one of the Art of Allowing workshops presented by Esther and Jerry Hicks.  Quantum Popcorn DC is held on the last Friday of the month at the Art Gallery starting at 7 PM.  The viewing is always followed by an interesting, thought-provoking conversation between the presenters and the audience.   The next one will be May 27th – not sure which one will be presented – “What If?” – a documentary on the power of thought or ‘The Tapping Solution” – a documentary on Emotional Freedom Tapping.  Let’s do a poll – which one would you like to see?  Send me an email with your selection at lou5@telus.net!  If you can’t make one of the movie nights, you can rent the DVDs at Northern Lights Massage Therapy – $5 for 1 week.

That’s it for now….keep healthy and be happy!!

East Meets West – Spring Forest Qigong

I just love teleseminars! Why?  Because I get introduced to wonderful new healing modalities that are simple, easy to use and meant for everyone to learn and use for themselves and on their families. The latest one that intrigued me falls in line with what I’ve been focusing on with a group already – getting your energy flowing.

Spring Forest Qi-sagge and Qigong are going to be wonderful adjuncts to my practice – in fact, I’m using the Qi-sagge already with some pretty impressive results! It’s so easy to learn that I’m eager to teach it to others – in fact, the creator, Master Chunyi Lin, encourages anyone who learns the Qi-sagge to teach it to others so that there can be “a healer in every family and a world without pain.” As to the Qigong forms, again, easy to learn in a short space of time.

So, what is Spring Forest Qigong? It’s a healing art form from Traditional Chinese Medicine that offers everyone a simple yet very powerful way to awaken their natural healing ability put together in a manner that is easy for anyone to follow. Simplicity is the name of the game. With the Spring Forest Qigong Level One program, there are only eight active exercises that are like moving meditations which will strengthen your physical energy and help to open all of the energy channels (meridians) in your body. They help bring your Yin (feminine, passive, spiritual) energy into balance with your Yang (masculine, active and physical) energy. Too much imbalance between the two leads to blockages in the body and, of course, to what we know as dis-ease processes (insert any name you want here).

In addition to the active exercises, Master Lin has created a meditation, The Small Universe, which teaches you how to consciously move your energy from one point to another using breath, sound and visualization. This meditation helps to clear energy blockages along the Governing and Central meridians – the main two energy channels, along the front and back of you, that control and influence the all the other channels in your body.

The part of the program that I am most excited about is the Qi-sagge - a technique that combines the energy principles of qigong with the art of massage! Like I said, it’s very easy to learn as it consists of about 32 points (on each side of the body) that are stimulated to open up the energy channels (meridians) related to the points. These points are on the head, shoulders, back, arms, hands, hips, legs and feet and are among the most important energy points in your body and stimulation of these points have a wide-reaching effect on your system.

For instance, if I massage the point on your elbow, the energy goes down the forearm to your index finger, flows back up along a specific energy channel to the top of the shoulder, then flows inside the body to the lungs and the large intestines clearing everything along the way.  Stimulating these points can also have a balancing effect on the emotions – which is interesting to me, in that, when I use the Emotion Code and find that a meridian is out of balance, it is often a trapped emotion that is the root cause.  Sweet when two modalities totally complement each other.

Watch this video to get a glimpse of a Qi-ssage session…..

So, those of you in my neighborhood, if you want to experience a Qi-ssage, book an appointment with me.  If you want to learn more about Spring Forest Qigong, the exercises and the Qi-ssage, attend the Monday Informational Sessions in April or, if that’s not an option, then email me and let me know if you would be interested in attending a week-end workshop on this.   For the rest of you, go here to learn more about this wonderful easy system and become the healer in your family!

The Best Kept Secret For Balancing The Body – NST!

In 2002, I was searching for a technique that would make my life easier as a massage therapist – something that would keep me from the injuries that were beginning to plague me.   I was, also, looking for something that would balance the body quickly so that I would be able to work with the craniosacral system more easily and I was looking for something that would give better, more permanent results for my clients.   I found it in NST (Neurostructural Integration Technique) – an easy to apply system that balances the body in ways massage doesn’t begin to touch.

NST is the brain-child of Australian-born Michael Nixon-Livy, an Applied Physiologist,  who took on the challenge in 1991 of transforming the advanced principles of the late Australian bodywork genius, Tom Bowen, into a practical and teachable system.  I was sure impressed when I took his course in Vancouver way back in 2002 – yes, it is easy to learn and here is a short explanation of what it’s all about…

You will notice that he is promoting his DVD series that is available to anyone who wants to learn the method as it is safe to use on virtually anyone. The youngest person I’ve worked with was an infant and the oldest was 93 years of age. As he states in the video, I, too, will get clients who have tried everything else and this is the one method that will often give them relief for the first time in a long time. In fact, when I first began using NST in my clinic, my clients wanted to know why I hadn’t learned it sooner because they felt so good! I actually took the first class taught in Canada with Michael along with six of my former massage school classmates who were searching for the same thing I was!

So, if you want to experience this for yourself, book an appointment with me at www.northernlightsmassage.com or check www.nsthealth.com for a practitioner near you.

"The Perfect Food For My Befriended Body"

Esther Hicks

Image via Wikipedia

This is a journal entry from the Abraham-Hicks Publication – excerpted from the workshop in Asheville, NC on Sunday, October 29th, 2000.  I ran across this when I was decluttering recently and thought I’d share it with you as the theme on this blog is mostly about food, your body and energy alignment.   This is what Abraham has to say, through Esther Hicks, about the relationship we should have with our bodies and the way we nourish it……

“What is the perfect food? We would say there is not one, other than water. We encourage lots of that for all of you. Drink as much water as you can get into your body, and then eat anything else that feels good to you.

We would, for a little while, step away from the subject of food altogether in terms of trying to make anything happen. And we’d get as happy as we can relative to other aspects of our life, until we could feel that our cork is floating mostly about most things. And then we would say, “I’m going to befriend my body. I’m going to become a friend with my body. I’m going to make my body my friend.” That is so essential: making your body your friend.

Most of you are afraid of your body. Your body feels like something that might trick you. It might get run over, or it might make the wrong decision, or it might die too early, or it might get a disease in it, or it might do something, after all, it has all kinds of mysteries. You can’t look into your body. You can’t see metabolism. You can’t see what’s happening with the cells. You don’t really understand your body. And your body frightens you in most cases.
